The Bell & Ross Instrument Tourbillon; Setting the Bar for State-of-the-Art Watches
Though launched only in 1992, Bell & Ross have definitely proven their skills in the field of horology with their latest creations. One of the most talked about models is the state-of-the-art men's watch, The BR 01 Instrument Tourbillon.
Though the design still gives reference to aeronautic instrumentation typical of any Bell & Ross watch, what gives this model edge is the quadruple complications inherent in its system: a precision indicator, a power reserve indicator, a regulator, and a tourbillion.
True to the principles of the brand’s design, the BR01 Instrument Tourbillon has a robust case made from state-of-the art materials that does not merely exude strength, but is literally strong enough to withstand extreme forces that would deteriorate a normal watch. The case is Anallergic titanium with a material known as DLC-coated (Diamond Like Carbon) titanium. And to ensure that it maintains the readability that the brand is known for, the four essential-watch counters are presented in contrasting colors in a cross to make them stand out from the dark background.
Aside from its stromg masculine look, the BR 01 Tourbillon's movement is a wonder in the horological industry. Its accuracy was carefully engineered with carbon fiber bridges and mainplates and its tourbillion grande complication mechanism performs flawlessly in a black gold finish. The Trust Index also indicates the movement’s accuracy based on the tension on the barrels. The removable case back showcases the movement through a sapphire crystal.
This masterpiece is presented on a carbon fiber and titanium desk stand. It also comes with two interchangeable straps in black alligator and rubber.
