Aviary Ghost arose from bourbon, watching trains, and cabin fever. Without grand aspirations, Charlie Crimando and Stephen Kemsley began to record music in a one-room apartment during a particularly long Michigan winter. Three years later, Aviary Ghost emerged from its wintry confines with a lush and complex album that is fit for anything, whether it's driving, singing along, cooking, buckdancing, remembering the good old days, or consorting with inner demons. Memory is a Hallway was released in 2008. As is evident in the title, each song takes a perspective on memory and how it relates to the present and one's identity.
The duo regularly plays energetic, eclectic live shows and is recording new material for a future release.
