The Taylor 314ce – Taylor Does It Again
The Taylor 314ce is an incredible testament to how good Taylor are at making guitars. It has a beautiful sound. However, this is only one reason that this guitar is so worth-while. Actually, there are many things that make this guitar such a worthy choice.
The Taylor 314 is beautifully constructed for great sound and ease of play. Stunning woods make up the body. Sitka spruce makes the top of the guitar. The backs and sides are made from African mahogany. The classic, famous Taylor tone is achieved through this combination of wood. The left hand can clutch the neck with the greatest of ease thanks to the excellent craftsmanship that has gone into it. This in turn increases ease in play and many claim this improves your playing. A touch of versatility comes in the very well spaced strings that give space for both fingerstyle and flapicking.
The Expression electronics is a truly excellent pick-up system. A more organic sound is achieved through this system than other systems. The system is incredibly sensitive thanks to its tone controls and dynamic sensors. Not a single vibration gets past this system. Furthermore, its extreme sensitivity means it also picks up sounds from the top of the guitar. The system gives the guitar great stage credentials.
This guitar is very beautiful. Great features combined with a necessary choice in rich woods have left this guitar looking very, very nice. A lovely satin finish adorns the top, back and sides of the guitar. The bridge and fret board are made of ebony. This stunning look is furthered by a gloss top, pearl inlays and chrome Taylor tuners. All in all, this guitar looks very nice on stage.
The Taylor 314 holds a unique tone. Many love the sound of this guitar. It has the classic Taylor sound but with a little something extra. The sound is more rocky and modern than most acoustics. It contains a mid-range of clarity and a balanced treble range. The bass, however, lacks a little compared to others.
The Taylor 314ce is a beautifully designed guitar. It is a Grand Auditorium Cutaway design. This design is incredibly advantageous. For the sound, it adds fullness and voice. It is definitely a bit more appealing design than that of the Dreadnought or jumbo design. These designs are much more tiring than the Grand Auditorium Cutaway design and make it much harder to play for extended lengths of time.
This guitar is a true testament to how good Taylor are at making guitars. As has been outlined above, this guitar boasts some wonderful assets. It’s because of these that this acoustic-electric guitar is such an excellent purchase. The Taylor 314-ce has been built to the very high Taylor standards.
